10c Nantiesyn is a modern 3 storey town house, snuggled in a small wooded valley in the picturesque Penhelig area of Aberdyfi (Aberdovey).
The property is furnished to the highest standard, with a rear patio and decked area complete with barbeque, above which is a further decked area with outstanding views over the Dovey Estuary and hills beyond (not suitable for children to play on unsupervised).
Inside the property on the ground floor is the main hallway with walk in cloakroom, toilet, fully fitted open plan kitchen and dining area. The first floor has a large lounge with leather furnishings, flat screen TV with Freeview and double patio doors leading out on to the rear patio, as well as a double bedroom. The second floor has one double bedroom with en-suite, one twin bedroom, small rear bedroom with bunk beds and separate bathroom. The property is adjacent to the Penhelig pay and display car park which can provide parking for guests.
The area is a village within a village situated 200m from the sea, Local Park, the Old Roman Road and a small Penhelig railway halt. Also situated nearby is the award winning Penhelig Arms Hotel, with its excellent selection of beers, wine and outstanding restaurant.
Short Breaks are not available during High Season, Peak Season and Holidays.
From here you can explore the Dovey estuary foreshore along the Old Roman Road to Picnic Island, fish off the rocks, visit the beach or just relax with the views across the estuary to the magnificent Plynlimon Mountain range and the birth place of Britain’s longest river, the River Severn. If hill walking is your passion, you can trace the footpath into the centre of Aberdovey, follow the signs up onto Bwlchgwyn and along the path down in to the beautiful Happy Valley, or walk the ridge line to the mysterious Llyn Barfog (Bearded Lake). Although some parts of these walks can be strenuous, they are well within most people’s ability (remember to take warm clothing and good boots).
In the summer take a picnic and spend the day in the hills with the wild life, fresh air and outstanding scenery, it will be a carefree day your will remember for a long time.
Dovey Cottages can supply you with route cards for all these walks, as well as advice on local sites and attractions to visit. Whatever your interest or sport, just give us a call.
