Welcome to Retreat Cottage (Noddfa in Welsh). The cottage is in an excellent location for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Situated in the picturesque old harbour area of Aberdovey, Penhelig is a 'village within a village' with its history of boat building. The cottage is a short stroll to the nearby shops, pubs etc and also the lovely beach. There is a Car Park opposite the cottage, its close proximity proving very useful for loading/unloading and for parking during your stay - a permit is provided for the pay and display Car Park. Just 200m from the sea, the cottage is near the pretty local park with superb views of the bay, a small Cambrian Railway 'halt' and the Old Roman Road providing which provides a wonderful walk along the estuary. Also nearby is the award winning Penhelig Arms Hotel offering an excellent selection of beers, wines and outstanding restaurant.

The gardens at Retreat Cottage offer a choice of patios - the front patio on the ground floor where you can relax with the papers over breakfast or coffee and watch the world go by - three further levels of decking to the rear - one with a gas barbecue - one with 6 seater table and chairs and room for sunbathing - and another with a bench, all enjoying the stunning views of the estuary and hills beyond. All this and the backdrop of Chestnut Wood too - a relaxing retreat

Retreat Cottage is a 3 storey house that has been modernised and furnished to a very high standard with a well-appointed open plan design kitchen, adjoining dining area and cosy lounge which has an oak wood floor and feature fireplace. Double bedroom (en-suite) and twin bedroom. There is also a room with an adult-sized bunk-bed, which is perfect for kids, but plenty big enough for adults. Separate family bathroom with bath and shower.

All heating and electricity is included in the price, as well as bed linen and towels.

Short Breaks are not available during High Season, Peak Season and Holidays.
